About me:
I chose the moniker NocoJoe when I started out in photography. Message boards were the place to be, and I thought would give me valuable connections with others combined with possible exposure for my images. To sign up for the message boards / forums I needed a moniker or some sort of public name to go by. My real name, Joseph Thomas, is too common to on any established website, so that was out. I wanted something creative. I thought of a play off of the southern California nickname SoCal. Thus, the name NocoJoe was born.
Altough I no longer live in northern Colorado I still have kept the domain NocoJoe, can’t forget your roots. Nowadays, I live and photograph in Phoenix, Arizona. Enviornmental portraits are the staple of my photography, the genre I practice the most; however I am starting to dabble in headshots. Keep on the look out for actors and business headshots in my blog.
